the Queens Kings by a score of 10 to 6 at The King's Palace.
Gary Matthews provided the offensive punch. He clubbed a solo home run in the
1st inning, doubled which plated a run in the 6th inning and doubled bringing
in two baserunners in the 7th inning. Overall Texas out-hit Queens 15 to 10.
Eddie Solomon(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing 3 runs in 5 innings. Ed
Farmer got the save, his 1st. John Candelaria(1-1) suffered the loss. He
was knocked around by Texas, allowing 9 hits and 2 walks in 5 and 2/3 innings.
