Fred McGriff cracked 2 homeruns as the Montreal Expos outscored the Portland
Beavers 11 to 5.
McGriff enjoyed a big evening at the plate.  He belted a three-run homer in
the 5th inning and caught a hold of a bad pitch for a Grand Slam homerun in
the 6th inning.  Montreal had 11 hits for the night while Portland had 8.
The win was credited to Greg Maddux(3-0) who went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 3
runs. Charlie Hough(1-3) was the losing pitcher.  He pitched 5 innings and
surrendered 5 hits and 7 walks.
