In an entertaining game at Shea Stadium the final score was the Queens Kings
6, the Seattle Red Barons 3 in 10 innings.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings.  Queens ended up winning
it in the 10th inning.  Willie McGee led off and started the rally when he
drew a walk.  Al Oliver came next and he stroked a one-base hit.  Ben Oglivie
then would ground out resulting in a run.  Carlton Fisk followed next and he
ripped a single plating one more runner.  Fisk took second on the throw.
Larry Biittner stepped into the box and stroked a base-hit scoring the final
run of the inning.  Queens had 13 hits for the game and Seattle had 6.

Joey McLaughlin(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the win. McLaughlin
got help from Goose Gossage who was credited with his 2nd save.  Sammy
Stewart(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 3 runs and 3
hits in 1 and 1/3 innings.
