Center fielder Tommie Agee had 2 base hits at Shea Stadium as the Manchester
Minutemen lost a heartbreaker to Seattle Red Barons by the score of 3 to 2.
The deciding run was scored by Seattle in the bottom of the 9th.  Mark
Belanger stroked a base-hit.  Belanger was safe on a stolen base.  Agee then
lined a single making Seattle the winners and sending the 39,412 fans home
happy.  Seattle totaled 7 hits on the night.  
Eddie Watt(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Lee Stange(0-1) was
charged with the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 2 hits without
retiring a batter.
