Rusty Staub left the yard and had 4 RBI as the East clobbered the
outmatched West, 15 to 5.
Staub provided much of the offense. He smacked a three-run homer
in the 5th inning and doubled plating a run in the 8th inning.
East bats were very productive in the 6th inning when they had 4 runs on 4
hits. The East offense poured it on, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.
The win went to Dick Hall who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Bob
Gibson ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 1 and 1/3 innings
and surrendered 5 hits and no walks.
